The types of data we collect

When you (a customer or partner) register to purchase products through hansonandhopewell.com we ask for information such as your name, e-mail address, postal address, and contact details. We then keep a record of this information. Our shop is run by Squarespace and payments are processed via Stripe, PayPal and ApplePay. When you visit the shop we automatically collect information about your web browser, IP address, time zone and some of the cookies are installed on your device.

When you make a purchase or attempt to make a purchase through the Site, Squarespace and Stripe/PayPal/ApplePay collects certain information from you, including your name, billing address, payment information (including credit card numbers which is held as encrypted data, stored only as long is necessary to complete the transaction at which point it is removed), email address, and phone number. If you make multiple purchases from us, this order information is linked under one customer profile.

We keep a record of any e-mail correspondence you send us, so we can track any problems or concerns you've had too.


How we use your data

All the information we collect via the Site, or through correspondence with you is used to operate and improve the service we offer you and to personalise our service. We are committed to using your personal information only for:

a)  Planning and managing our business activities, including using your order information to fulfil any orders placed through the site (including processing your payment information and providing you with invoices and/or order confirmations), analysing customers' shopping habits, success of advertisements and push notifications and product and style preferences of our customers.

As part of the registration process for our monthly e-newsletter, we collect personal information. We use that information for a couple of reasons: to tell you about stuff you’ve asked us to tell you about; to contact you if we need to obtain or provide additional information; to check our records are right and to check every now and then that you’re happy and satisfied. We don't rent or trade email lists with other organisations and businesses.

We use a third-party provider, MailChimp, to deliver our newsletter.
